Ukraine’s Armed Forces are set to receive the Varkhan unmanned ground vehicle after the Ministry of Defence codified the system and authorized it for supply, UNN reported on October 5.
Varkhan is built for logistics: moving weapons, ammunition and equipment to positions where driving a crewed vehicle is too dangerous. It is a 4×4 platform with more than 200 millimeters of ground clearance and quick-release, replaceable batteries. The report describes payload as hundreds of kilograms and range as several dozen kilometers, without giving exact figures.
The vehicle is described as part of an ecosystem that includes ground control stations, antennas and communications equipment, with multiple control and communication options. That reflects what Ukrainian units have learned about ground robots: the vehicle is only useful if the control link survives jamming and the crew can run several machines at once.
The report does not name the manufacturer, and the figures come from the Ukrainian reporting rather than independent testing. Codification still matters, because it moves a system from battlefield trials into the formal supply chain, where units can order it through normal channels.
