Correction Policy
Mistakes happen in any newsroom. What matters is how quickly they are fixed and how openly. This page explains how ORBATMag handles errors.
How we handle errors
- Fixed where it was published. A corrected article keeps its original web address, so links, bookmarks and citations still work. We never delete an article just to hide an error.
- Changes are labeled. When a correction affects the facts or conclusions of a story, a note on the article tells readers what was wrong and what it now says.
- Withdrawn, not disguised. If a piece should never have been published, we take it down and say so instead of rewriting it into something we can defend.
- The original record stays intact. We keep our earlier drafts and notes as they were. Only the published article changes, and the difference between the two is the correction.
Reporting a mistake
If you believe something we ran is inaccurate, tell us through the Contact Us page or email us at intel@orbatmag.com, and include the name or link of the article. We will check it against our sources and correct it if you are right. If an article is about you or your organization and you feel it misrepresents you, let us know and we will review it the same way.
